The natural disasters in the year 2022 had widespread impacts on nearly half a million households across 59 provinces in Thailand. These events resulted in damages that were difficult to evaluate across various dimensions. This incident is just one example of the numerous consequences arising from the occurrence of disasters, whether they are natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and wildfires, happening seasonally or spontaneously. There are also human-made disasters like explosions and chemical leaks. Each disaster occurrence causes harm to life, property, environment, and affects the stability of the overall economy of the country significantly.
Addressing or managing these disasters falls under the responsibility of various organizations. However, they often prioritize addressing specific aspects of the problem rather than looking at the problem comprehensively in the long term. The lack of personnel with the knowledge and understanding of managing such complex problems is a major factor that hinders the effectiveness and sustainability of disaster management
